Scriptwriting tips
Did you attend the RTS Futures event, From Script to Screen?
What was the most useful thing you learnt from speakers Tony Jordan and Alice Nutter? What did you think of the event? Is there any other topics you'd be interested in for a future event?

I thought the talk was really very good. It was actually far more information rich than most screenwriter talks I have attended in the past. The mingling before and after the talks was less well managed. I personally didn't mind that Tony didn't stay for any time afterwards (Alice did, but it took her a while to get downstairs due to people like me asking her questions)... but I do think that more could have been done to encourage mingling between the attendees. By the time I got downstairs almost everyone had left. |

Yep, I agree with all the comments here. It would have been also nice if Tony and Alice could have circulated the room downstairs for a while afterwards - I'm sure I wasn't the only one who had a burning question for them... |

I agree with Victoria and Ade. Hearing Tony and Alice's experiences was very interesting, but I had hoped for more advice of a technical nature. Perhaps you would consider a series of follow-up workshops where writers can bring along their own work and receive tips and feedback from some experts? |

I agree with this guy, Ade. It was a great evening, met some good people and Tony and Alice were engaging. But the process from taking your script and seeing it get into the right hands and produced was not touched on. As Tony reiterated William Goldman's mantra, nobody knows anything. And I still don't! |

02 Apr 09 I really enjoyed listening to Alice and Tony it is always nice to hear success stories but that wasn't really what I was looking for. The word "masterclass" was mentioned but there was very little that actually covered the journey between script and screen.
